Invite e-mail after adding users to a wiki

I am using the api to add users to a wiki. The users are not currently
PBWiki users, so I am sending through a password.

From my testing I have found that the password I send in has no
affect. When users click on the link in the invite e-mail they are
asked to create a new password anyway.

Secondly, the invite e-mail comes from do-not...@pbwiki.com, with
the message:
"do-not...@pbwiki.com has sent you an invitation to their wiki."

This is not particularly friendly, and has a much bigger chance of
being ignored by the user I'm sending the invite to.

Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?
