Summer has arrived at Paul's Grains!

Hello Everyone,

It seems like we went from spring to summer this week. The 97 degree
temperatures yesterday combined with 20-30 mph winds made the mowed
hay dry really fast. We would have liked to have mowed all the hay
ground, but the mower decided it was due for some new parts and that
delayed the progress. But we are thankful for all we did get done. We
got some of what was down baled yesterday and hope to finish the rest
today before the rain arrives.

Our cattle herd is increasing. So far we have 4 new calves and there
is a possibility of 3 more. Our broiler chickens are growing fast,
too. We should be able to get them butchered the last week of June.
So, if you are interested in purchasing some of them, give us a call
or send us an email.

We are also preparing to attend the Des Moines Farmer's Market this
Saturday, June 11th. We are signed up for the second Saturday of each
month through September. Last month we sold out on some items, so if
you want to place an order ahead of time, we can hold it for you until
you get there. We will be on 2nd St. South on the west side, about
halfway down the block. It is near the same place we were last month.
