Hello from Paul's Grains!

SCHEDULE UPDATE
We're going to be at the Downtown Des Moines Farmer's Market again on
Saturday, July 7, 7-12:00, and have just made plans to be at the State
Center Farmer's Market on Friday, July 13, 5-8:00 p.m. We'll have a
selection of our most popular products at both markets, so please stop
by and see what we have -- or place an order to pick up, if you
already know what you want. We look forward to seeing you!

WEBSITE NEWS
Place an order through our website this summer, and receive a free
product sample of our choice! We're doing this as a little "thank you"
for supporting our business - and it's a fun way for you to get to try
different items we offer. Check out our online product list at
www.paulsgrains.com and see what catches your eye. If you're looking
for something not listed, drop us a line: there's a good chance we
have it, or may be able to find a source for it.

SUMMERTIME COOKING
Summer is here! We're getting some hot weather here in central Iowa
this week. It's good for the crops, so we're trying to be thankful for
the heat while making use of fans, ice cream, and quick, easy
recipes. :-) Here's one of our favorite summer dishes -- it doesn't
take long to make, and is very healthy and yummy. We have it often in
hot weather.

VEGETABLE PIZZA

3 c. whole wheat pastry flour
2 Tb. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. oil
1/2-3/4 c. milk

Combine dry ingredients, and cut in oil until mixture is crumbly. Add
just enough milk to moisten into a firm dough. Divide in half and
press into two buttered 12" pizza pans. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10
minutes, until golden brown. Let cool.

Cream together:

8 oz. cream cheese
8 oz. sour cream
1/2 c. mayonnaise or whipped salad dressing

Spread on pizza crusts. Top with your choice of grated/cubed
vegetables. Some that we like are:

cucumbers
tomatoes
lettuce
celery
bell peppers
carrots
zucchinni

Top with shredded cheese. Finished pizzas can be chilled in the fridge
several hours before serving. Keep leftovers in an airtight
container.

Hope you all are having a great summer so far!

God bless,
The Paul Family
