Hi,
A friend who would like to use patch-tag.com has been having trouble
registering an account. The error message he receives is

> Server error: /etc/passwd: hGetContents: invalid
> argument (Invalid or incomplete multibyte or wide character)

He's tried various user names and passwords and it returns the
same error each time.

Cheers,
Ben

Hi there. This is fixed, mostly -- you can create users and interact
with repositories.

There is still an issue that foreign chars display wrong.

This seems to be be something server specific as I didn't get this on
my test box when upgraded to 6.12.1. I am going to hop onto #haskell
and see if I can get this sorted out now.

By the way, if you try to create a username with non-ascii characters
it gets rejected now. Somehow there was one username with an umlaut
that slipped in, which worked prior to 6.12.1 but not post.

If I learn anything interesting / useful in sorting this out I'll try
and report back.

Thanks Thomas!
It's working again and my friend's created his account :) It'd be interesting
to know what the problem is with non-ascii chars if you uncover it. Thanks
again,

Ben
