Hi there, first repo is working for me (didn't try second). It has
been downloading patches for over a minute which seems kind of slow,
but no 404 error.

Maybe transient bug that went away?

If still not working, what happens if you just try viewing url in browser?

FWIW, another test repo checked out quickly, so I am not sure if
slowness is a patch-tag performance issue or something odd about that
repo.
