I believe that any petition drive has to follow the same state law.

The colored areas overlaid over the old election boundary in blue. As
we were instructed, if any of the old area overlapped a current election
boundary, we would have to get signatures from enough registered voters
to cover I recall a little over 30% of the last election (Obama) total.

That was enough to burst most balloons. I have copied a snapshot here.

I am training for the little rock marathon, and maybe the crackhead
race. Was wondering if anyone else was following the mile schedule and
may be looking for someone to run with. Gets boring sometimes running
by yourself everyday for all those miles. I have a very flexible
schedule.

Mrs. Scott,
You can go to "My Groups" above to the right, then click on "Manage my
memberships".
This will bring you to a screen that shows all the groups you belong
to.
You'll see the Park Hill group and to the far right of that will be a
drop down box.
Click on that box and one of the selections is unsubscribe.

If I were a business owner and was told that in order to serve beer/
wine in my restaurant, I would have to do so as a "private club", I
would look for real estate elsewhere. We should be looking for ways to
make it easier for new businesses, not creating more barriers to
entry.

I believe when we were faced with the idea of an entirely new petition drive over a really enlarged new voter precincts area..... the whole thing died on the vine. There really was not a good reason for people to commit, as it looked like no one was interested in a whole lot of effort when any restaurant could try the "private club" route if they truly wished.

not being able to sell the cordial truffles because they contain
alcohol is about the dummest thing I've ever hear of! If that is
true, how do stores in dry areas sell vanilla and other flavorings?
I've know people that DRINK vanilla because they won't go to a liquor
store! I mean...get real.
