We always try. Only approved members can post to this Google Group --
however one tactic employed is to do mass-applications to Google
Groups and then post spam if somebody accidently approves them. This
means that the parent volunteers who maintain this list have to
constantly separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to new

Ms. Boyle,

You will have a whole host of ways to support your daughter's education at Polaris, be it field trips or otherwise. Primary school teachers are very good at keeping parents informed, especially Thursday folders (i.e., every Thursday your daughter's teacher will provide a summary of week events and upcoming events to calendar). Lots of students at Polaris have parents with (demanding) full time jobs and parental/adult obligations outside of the school, and many of those parents contribute to field trips and other school activities during school hours.
