Hi All What a surprise! Dave Stuart has chosen me and Mirage to be in his Masterclass at Kingswood tomorrow. I`m really nervous. What have I done? Is anyone going to be there?

I was going to go to the one on the 29th. But as they are sooooo cheap I'll come tomorrow aswell. So I'll see you there. What a fantastic oppertunity.
Helen
PS. Thanks for your support regarding Tyler. He's doing much better. Everything seems to be healing, the swelling has gone down and he isn't lame at walk anymore. (haven't trotted him up so don't know about trot)

Seeing your post about the masterclass made me realise how out of touch I am getting since the equine ethology web site dissappeared. Had no idea Dave Stuart was doing another series of masterclass. Can you let me know where I can get the info on his tour. Many thanks,
Thanks so much Sam, I have tried for ages on google searching for Charlotte but it never ever brought up her web site, so really glad you have passed it on.
We are doing well with the horses, Steve entered another TREC and improved his score 100% on his last attempt, so we were really pleased with that. Getting out hacking at weekends but due to dark nights not much doing during the week.
We have finially got an offer on a house accepted so if everything goes ahead we might finially get to move which at least will reduce the amount time we have been spending travelling up and down the motorway to view properties. We have got this far before but had to pull out so at the moment I am still cautious about it really happening. Has been a very protracted, time consuming and frustrating project todate.
Thanks also for your reply on the stirrup leathers I will just measure up and send the details.
Hi Helen If you wonder what I am doing I have changed my email address( as the amylbro one comes up as from Amy Broadhurst instead of from Liz) So please delete that one from your list. Sorry I didn`t recognise you on Friday at the Masterclass - my eyes are so bad without my glasses. Alan told me that you were there. I wanted to see you to ask about Tyler and also how you are as I know how awfull it feels when your horse hurts himself like that - it is a real shock. Mirage hopes Tyler will be recovered for the next Dean Valley day as he needs someone to play the "can`t catch me game" with Liz
Tyler wants Mirage's autograph and to have a good chat with him about meeting Swerve, Dave and Charlotte.
I thought the demo was great. I missed the first hour as I just couldn't find the place in the dark, navigating by myself. I was one of the three people who walked across the arena later on. Cup of tea in hand. What did you think of how Dave acted when Mirage wouldn't do that jump? I think that lady was a bit rude for walking out, but as I missed the beginning I don't know all the information for her actions.
Tyler is doing sooooo much better. The superficial cuts are nearly healed and as he's running round the field like a lunatic with Alfie I don't think there is any tendon damage. the Aloe Vera gelly seems to make these heal in a 'moist' way so scar tissue doesn't develop. No signs of scaring white hair yet so i'm hopeful.
see you at Dean valley soon.

There is another Masterclass in Warton, near Lancaster on Wednesday. Our Jo Mac is taking Ginger pony as the demo horse!! Come and make loadsa noise to support her!!
Great news , Helen that Tyler is doing so well - good old aloe vera! Look forward to seeing you both at Dean valley.
There were actually three people who walked out and banged the door when Dave was trying to get Mirage over the jump on Friday and I thought that they were very rude too. Perhaps they had only worked with easier horses because to get anywhere with a difficult horse like Mirage you have to leave the comfort zone at times. I don`t know if you saw him rear up and fall over but I don`t suppose that they liked that either .
I personally feel that he may have felt a little too close to jump it confidently and he may have gone if he was backed a little but there was a respect issue there too. I don`t think he was going close to Swerve for comfort but to try and push him out of the way as Dave was no longer holding the flag and he does that to me sometimes when he is trying to avoid jumping. I have the greatest confidance in Dave and Charlotte or I would never have taken him. Charlotte said that she had a horse just like him that she did her Parelli levels with. Anyway he`s none the worse for it - he loaded up brilliantly afterwards which he wouldn`t have done had he been upset. He is going over jumps more fluently on line now too. Hope that Ginger learns some lessons too on Wednesday

I might have problems with my e mail on my computer as a few people commented that they had e mailed me (about christmas dinner etc). So if I haven't replied I hadn't got your message so apologies. Will get boyfriend who is a computer geek to check it out for me as I really like being involved with all Parelli events and get togethers.

It was great. Dave gave some great tips for working with horses who lack confidence like GP does. New ideas on how to make your principles in purpose for the horse so he has a job to do.

Hey guys. NOt popped in for a while but tis nice to see you are all still here :-)
The GP was a love. Not super naughty in true GP style but he did have one or two stubbon moments........ Had to laugh when he decided to change from one side of swerve to the other to avoid jumping the jump and nearly hanging poor swerve on the 12ft in the process. LOL!
He was very brave by the end and finished up being all nice and floppy and chilled (even when we nearly took out half the audience on the otherside of one on the jumps..... Bless Dave and his patience....
Dave really got me thinking about some things I can do.... Keep the ponies brain ticking and make him think................... Dave even loaded him for me at the end as he was having confidence probs inside the trailer - I caught myself a cowboy for a moment as I had to shut him in the trailer but felt bad and let him out LOL
I had a fun nite - hope others did too even though it wasnt tooooo dramatic. Twas nice to see some friendly faces, thanks for all your support guys.....
Charlotte was super nice too (she made me feel at home by saying the GP was a cutie - bless!). She is just so friendly and approachable and smilie.... Must be the Gilli Hugs rubbing off LOL
