CUDA Hands-on Session : Series Finale

Hi all,

As sem end is approaching fast it seems a right time to wrap up our Parallel Programming Lecture Series for this semester.

In the end I want to conduct a hands-on session merged with a discussion on different optimization strategies for Sum Reduction on CUDA.

As this session needs to at least 3 hour long, the only feasible date I can see is Sunday 18th Nov, 2012. (Lot of people wont be here this Sunday and I am not free on 25th Nov)

It could be either one session from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm or two 2 hours session, before and after lunch.

For hands-on session we will need volunteers with Nvidia GPUs in their laptop (as discussed before). Venue will be most probably one of the IPC/CSIS labs.

Due to logistic reasons we may limit the entry to 30-35 people.

Please reply to this post (on PARA-SIG Google Group), if you want to attend the session and date and time are fine with you.

PS - Anybody who can help in its conduction in any way contact me asap.

Hi everyone,

We will have CUDA hands-on session on Sunday 18th Nov, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in CISCO Lab (1103).

You don't need to bring anything specially sunday-post-lunch-sleep.

Due to severe shortage of laptop volunteers we won't be able to entertain a lot of people so we will follow FCFS.

We will discuss Sum Reduction using CUDA along with various programming exercises.

Please brush up your CUDA knowledge before coming for the session.

PS - If you can convince/bribe/force any of your wingie to volunteer his/her Nvidia laptop then tell him/her to contact me asap :-)
