Welcome to a truly international group whose members share a passion for making (usually) recognizable things from card stock paper. These things range from extremely simple models of cars and buses to highly elaborate representations of aircraft and armored vehicles which challenge and often exceed anything found in the plastic model world.

Members are encouraged to share their own, original model designs, links to favorite model sites, or just to talk about our hobby.

When you join, make sure you use a working, valid e-mail address. Accounts found to be lacking valid addresses will be deleted. Please also include a name or nickname so we know what to call you; there's no need to hide behind your e-mail address here.

This group supports the paper model designers and publishers, and does not support piracy of any kind. Therefore copyrighted material may not be posted without specific permission from the owner of the copyright. This prohibition includes passwords to model files, even for those files whose passwords are found on the same page as the file. Unless you are the designer who password-protected the file, you do not have the right to post the password.

Links to sites which offer copyrighted material, including free models from other sites, without permission should not be posted. If you are unsure whether a site is legitimate, please ask the group's owner before posting. The majority of things found at 4CHAN or RapidShare should not be posted here, unless you are the designer and chose to distribute your work there.

Posting links directly to model files should be avoided unless there is either no other way to reach the files, or you are the designer and chose to distribute your work in this manner. Some people have more difficulty reaching model files through Flash-based pages than do others, and assisting them in e-mail is encouraged. Still more helpful would be to contact the owner of the Flash-based page and encourage him to find a friendlier means of making his work available.

Because we enjoy an informal atmosphere, conversation here often goes off-topic. If you do not wish to receive off-topic posts, please use the "Web Only" option.

Copyright issues as applied to our hobby are always "on topic."

Please keep in mind when posting that the members of this group represent a large number of political, religious, and ethnic persuasions. Therefore, discussion of religion, politics, or ethnicity is strictly prohibited. Think well before you post; comments which the group's owner finds offensive will not be tolerated.

Please note that posting links to models of religious, political, or ethnic subjects is quite acceptable, as is objective discussion of the models themselves. If any model offends you, don't download it, but respect the right of others to do so.

Virus warnings and similar postings should not be made to the group unless the warning is about a specific file in the group's archives or a site whose link is posted here. 

This may seem like a lot of rules and restrictions, but it basically all boils down to "Play nice." I really hate moderating or banning people (except for SPAMmers), but won't hesitate to do either without warning if it seems appropriate. Be sure to read the "Stickied" or "Pinned" discussions for more information on these rules and expectations of members' behavior.
