I am trying to run Panda on a local OS X install with videos/etc to be
stored locally. I've managed my way through the various system level
dependencies and have modified the configuration file to
use :filesystem instead of :s3. When I try to start the merb
application, however, I get the following error.

Loading init file from /Users/eric/Development/panda/config/init.rb
Loading /Users/eric/Development/panda/config/environments/
development.rb
DEPRECATION WARNING: require "activesupport" is deprecated and will be
removed in Rails 3. Use require "active_support" instead.. (called
from /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-2.3.5/lib/
activesupport.rb:2)

153:in `raise_errors': InvalidClientTokenId: The AWS Access Key Id you
provided does not exist in our records. (Amazon::SDB::UnknownError)

If I comment out the S3 key information, I get:

./config/aws.rb:1: warning: already initialized constant BASE_PATH
/Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/amazon_sdb-0.6.7/lib/amazon_sdb/base.rb:

Any ideas?

Hi,

It looks like you've copied your AWS Access Key incorrectly. Make sure
it has no whitespace etc.

Hi to all,

Anyone has make work panda in other environment outside of Amazon?

is this possible? I live in Argentina and I would like try panda plataform but the price for Amazon is to big for us, and only for test this.

BTW, is a good idea to prepare an Virtual Appliance with Panda working inside, this way we can try this more easy.. if some help to my in the startup I'll be able to make this appliance.

thanks in advance
Alejandro

Hi,

Yes this is possible, take a look at the config options to use
filesystem instead of s3 storage and use one of the simpledb local
emulators.
