We designed it so that as much of the expansion header is available as
possible with a mixture of direct accessibility and pass through.

The board plugs into pins 1-6 and 23-28
Pins 7-22 can be accessed by plugging in connectors of the type reset
switches normally use.
Our board has a pass through/ancillary connector (J3) with:

 Great news!!!

Just a question, does this leave the expansion header useless for other
purposes? in the images I see that the connector uses all the pins.

On Wed, May 15, 2013 at 4:11 AM, Leonardo Bueno

from a quick look at r-pi userland git tree, they seem to be
controlling the Camera interface from the VideoCore, not on the CPU,
accessed through OMX (yes, pretty much like it was done on
OMAP4/Ducati, sadly). I have mostly checked this:

[link]

 Hi,
I was wondering what would be required to make the raspberry pi CSI-2
camera module work with the pandaboard. If the raspberry pi foundation
releases the source of the linux driver for the camera, would it be just a
matter of compiling it for the pandaboard?
Thanks,
Leonardo Bueno

 Hi,

I've got both the standard pandaboard and the ES, first without antenna and
the second with an antenna soldered. While you won't face any real problems
in the panda is close to the wifi spot, I'd recommend soldering the
antenna. It is quite easy to do and you'll get more range for sure,

Have most people found that it is not necessary to attach an external
antenna in order for the Pandaboard to maintain a solid wifi
connection?

I read about a soldering procedure for attaching an external antenna
but my Pandaboard ES looks like it has a tiny antenna plug all ready
to go.

- Grant

Yes but there are less expensive solutions on the market. The market for
Nanny Camera solutions and WiFi securty cameras is well serviced.

One real issue is camera interface and network bandwidth data path
congestion. If you have all the bits give them a try. If you are shopping
begin by downloading the schematics and do some homework.

Hello Tejas. As far as I know, there is no ADC IC on the Pandaboard. But
you can use an external ADC Chip via SPI or I2C connection. There is
numerous options out there ie. Texas Instruments ADSxxxx series.

It seems to have about
every feature that we asked for within reason.
The only things really different are that it has a microSD slot and a
USB-TTL instead of a big bulky DB9.
