All,

PandaBoard Early Adopter Program has launched.

PandaBoard is an open OMAP4 mobile development platform.

PEAP (PandaBoard Early Adopter Program) is the fastest way you can get access to a PandaBoard.

It is intended to build a range of open source community projects before the boards ship out to general public.

PEAP is open to all.

PEAP web-site is accessible at: http://pandaboard.org

More details about PEAP are available at: http://www.omappedia.org/wiki/PandaBoard_Early_Adopter_Program

You can request a PandaBoard by submitting your project proposal at   http://pandaboard.org.

PEAP program runs for a month. Get your creativity together, think of cool projects and submit them on http://pandaboard.org.

At the above URL you will also find support mechanism, i.e. PandaBoard IRC Channel and PandaBoard group.

Please submit any questions that cannot be asked on the IRC/ group to oma...@gmail.com.

Thank you,

Goooooooooo Panda,

That's nice, but wasn't the PEAP only for new projects, and existing
projects should use the request program? The Gentoo and XMBC projects
don't really sound like new projects to me?

That's atleast how I understood the blurb on pandaboard.org.

Actually, you are right. There was some confusion around the wordings/
definition of new and existing projects; that lead proposals being
submitted in the wrong place.
We did try to reach out to submitters in many cases and requested them
to resubmit the proposals in the right place - but, some choose to
submit it for the contest only. The best we could do was consider all
proposals on a equal footing.

This is something to improve on for future
