Hi

I am in market for economical capacItive touchscreen display for
pandaboard of size around 10-12.5 inches. I am thinking of buying the
following :

3M Touch Systems TOUCH SCREEN CAPACITIVE 12.31" Manufacturer Part #:
17-8581-205 .

Digi Key : http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=3M5754-ND
Mouser : http://in.mouser.com/ProductDetail/3M/17-8581-205/?qs=iQWHn7Oel5r2a16Xl2/9xg==

I have two question regarding this :

1. Will it work with Panda Board. If yes how ?
2. Digi Key says it comes with buil-in usb controller while Mouse says
its not. Who should I believe ?

Thanks a lot for looking at it.

BTW: I am planning to run Gingebread in it.

Regards
Kdeo

Typically the actual touch screen and the controller board are sold
seperately as is probably the case for both DigiKey and Mouser.
Controller boards come with either a serial, I2C, or serial interface
which is used to communicate with the OS. 3M does have drivers for
Linux but whether those are going to be supported in Gingerbread I
cannot answer. I would check in with the Gingerbread folks and see
they say is supported but I would think USB is going to be your
easiest way to implement this.
