commercial product (small quantities) using pandaboard

Hi,

For my small company, pandaboard is a good opportunity to sell an arm board with embedded software in very small quantities (1 to 100 ..) It seems that it's permit to use a pandaboard in a commercial product ? Is it planned to change that ? I am sure that there is a lot of small company who will wants to use pandaboard in a commercial product...

You might have to take long term availability into account. If you buy 100
boards today, that might be fine, but if you need another 100 in a year it
could be an issue.

Yes you are right ... but I think there is a niche market to sell ready to use board like pandaboard for small quantities with commercial support (availability,...)

some company might pick up the panda design and manufacture boards with
long term availability and support. but it will not be at the current
$174 price point....

Indeed. And if the open source design is used to develop a similar
product, the TI subsidy won't generally be available.
