Yes but there are less expensive solutions on the market.  The market for Nanny Camera solutions and WiFi securty cameras is well serviced. 

One real issue is camera interface and network bandwidth data path congestion.  If you have all the bits give them a try.  If you are shopping begin by downloading the schematics and do some homework.
