@Folks,

Suddenly, I incorporated the spirit of Dr. Frankenstein with a vein Tesla, an idea occurred me:

        - How about trying a mix between the Openmoko with PandaBoard project?

The idea its something similar the Blaze, but use the  PandaBoard in the OpenMoko infrastructure (in fact I first thought it was the case) of FreeRunner trying to make the most PandaBoard - without using silver-tape... and using the OsmocomBB project in modem side.

      Someone's thinking of something similar?

I had thought that with other cards (IGEP and Beagle) but appeared Panda...

Hi,
we just received a Pandaboard through the early adopter programme
to try what you are thinking of (if I did understand you correctly).

Here is the project description:

And, we already did combine an Openmoko LCD module
with a BeagleBoard:

The hardware side appears not to be that difficult. And for the
software side we have to find out if we can simply port what
we have learned from OMAP3 or if we have to do things
differently.

So if you want to join, you are very welcome. Please contact me.

BR,
Nikolaus

Hi,

    Dr.Schaller is exactly it!

...and, for second step, try  OsmocomBB  - open source baseband stack project in this platform, but the main idea its that you already did it.

will be a pleasure to contribute to your project, sorry that my pandaboard is scheduled to arrive only  first week of december.

Thanks.,
- BR
