There are lot of Opensource Digital Signage solutions are available such
xibo.
You may need to develop or cross compile the xibo's python based client,
for ARM-Pandaboard
. Digital signage kind of devices or sixth screen devices – you can google up digital signage and we can talk more about it.
a. Use pandaboard as a digital signage with some intelligence built into it so that it shows appropriate messages/ advertisements/ informational screens etc

Dear Viral and Saumil,
I suggest you to implement any of the OpenSource Digital Signage solution
in Desktop PC and try to understand how it's working. After that it may be
very easy to use it in Pandaboard.
Below the basic components of a Digital Signage solution :
Client - Big screen with a PC Box where the contents will display.
Server - Contents /advertisements can be stored there.
And an web-interface -From where you can push the contents to the server.
Xibo is also having the same frame work which I mentioned above. You can
consider using Pandaboard in the client side.
Your effort may be to cross-compile the xibo- python client application for
ARM-Pandaboard.
