Hi,

I am trying to download the gignerbread release of pandroid.

Unfortunately the omapmanifest is pointing to android.git.kernel.org,
and this site is not currently functioning (was hacked).

Is there an alternative to this manifest that will fetch the files
from another site?

how about git.omapzoom.org ? this is a TI git server which is not down. you might be able to find all you need there.
