Rohan,
most likely the eMMC is asking to operate at a voltage level that is not supported by the sd card interface hardware......
eMMC cards are generally at 1.2 to 2.0 volts whereas most generic SD cards will operate at 3.0 to 3.6volts.
i would double check your hardware to make sure you have taken the appropriate measures for proper interface setup.

The same kernel detects the SD card without any issues.
I am using a JIG( accessory board ) for connecting the eMMC chip.
Not able to trace whether it is a hardware issue or kernel issue.
Please let me know the solution if any body knows it ..
