My experience with pain killer addiction as you may or may not know is
vast to say the least. I would pop pills like they were pez candy. I'm
the only guy I know that would get a bad idea in the middle of a bad
idea.
At first it was all fun and great highs then I graduated to fun with
problems and eventually graduating to all problems. Pain killer
addiction is no joke.
I remember the time I rear ended a family of 4, high as a kite, and
the first thing I did was grab a handful of pills before the husband
of the car, I had just hit, could even get to my driver side window. I
vaguely remember fading in and out but I someone held it together
because I didn't want to go to jail.
The thing about any type of pain killer addiction is the detox is so
horrific physically that you're not just dealing with a mental
obsession your dealing with physical dependence and it is so bad and
you get so sick that if you had an ounce of self respect you'd take
your own life.
The truth is, I had no self respect due to my pain killer addiction
and but for the grace of god and the well meaning people I met in
treatment I would not be well today.
Kicking pain killer addiction of any type is no joke.

There are a few things that I would rather do then write on this
discussion board regarding pain killer addiction. They
include.....lighting myself on fire, catching my package in my zipper,
slamming my hand in a car door......you get the idea, pain killer
addiction is important I would appreciate a response from EVERYONE.
Thank you

Your package in a zipepr?...sounds like a fate worse than pain killer
addiction itself. Or almost worse than pain killer addiction itself.
Thanks for sharing, HNIC.

Pain killer addiction can happen to anyone and often people aren't
even aware that they suffer from pain killer addiction. My girlfriend
had some major dental work done and therefore was put on a variety of
painkillers...once her prescriptions ran out and she was told she no
longer needed them she started buying pills from kids on street and
stealing whatever pills she could find in her friends' cabinets. She
thought she was in pain and needed the pills to ease her mouth.
However, when she woke up freezing cold in a hospital bed she learned
she
was addicted to the pain killers. Now due to her pain killer
addiction
she no longer can take pain killer pills

I am so sorry I am getting back to you this late. The simple truth is
I don't know how to type and I dictate to my assistant and she doesn't
work weekends.
You can try to wean yourself off but if you are a drug addict like me
(and it appears that you are) you are going to need professional help.
Find a drug treatment center that also incorporates a licensed detox
facility.
For your particular case it sounds like the detox will be the hardest
part, however, there are a select few doctors who are licensed to use
specialized detox meds wherein your detox can be seamless and almost
comfortable.
Check out my detox and treatment facility, we are very expensive but
we do excellent work.

If, however, this too much of an expensive commitment please write
back letting me know what you can afford and I will personally
research the best value for your price range.
Be well
