failure to reconnect

Hi,

I've a pagekite instance running on my excito b3, using the debian package. While on vacation, I noticed that I couldn't access my kite anymore. I only got to access it when I came back, and noticed that the logs are full of:

Unfortunately, I was away long enough that I don't have the logs at the time it stopped working. However, just restarting the server brought everything back up. As I use pagekite to access that server via ssh, I'd ideally love to see it recover from most transient issues. Any idea what could have gone wrong?

Nice to hear from you! :-) Thanks for the bug report and log snippets
- I have heard a few people mentioning a similar issue and have been
trying to track down what is going on.

First off, I am pretty sure this was triggered by a front-end restart,
which disconnected your kite. This should be business as usual
though, your PageKite should simply reconnect - but for some reason
that was failing.

The 501 Unimplemented error from your log snippet is a pretty big clue
though, which had been missing from previous bug reports - so I think
I may have finally tracked this down to a bug in the front-end
configuration! I deployed a fix for that this morning, and so far
things look pretty good.

Hopefully things will behave better in the future, please let me know
if you have any more problems.

Out of curiosity, did anything ever happen with your wave-in-a-box project?

I'm afraid I overestimated the amount of time I could put on the
project... It's now in the icebox, with a few (ahum...) other exciting
things...
