http://page2rss.com/api/lookup?url=http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?p=94011

returns this message...??

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /api/lookup on this server.

Lookup API doesn't return any error messages just HTTP error codes. If
you try to enter your yahooapis url into the text box on the home page
or call Page API (http://page2rss.com/docs/api/page.html) you will see
real error message - "The page doesn't look like valid HTML page". The
situation is that you trying to monitor RSS feed. You can add
http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?p=94011 url directly into
your RSS reader.

I have a growing list of sites that return nothing
when I use the main pafe2rss.com search url.
I will keep appending to this list in future but
currently:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/bks?query=dora&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max
http://bigb.bigadda.com

I don't see any problems with urls you have provided. Once you added
the page it might take up to 12 hours when the page will be checked
again. if there are updates on the page, you will see them in the rss
feed.

BTW, both urls you have provided already have RSS feeds on their own.

Best Regards,
Konstantin

I think I have misread the intent of your service.
Here is what I assumed:

1. http://page2rss.com/api/lookup?url=google.com/
returns a url http://page2rss.com/rss/ff90821feeb2b02a33a6f9fc8e5f3fcd
2. This url will always contain content in rss format

It sounds like #2 is "The url will contain content ONLY if
it has changed from the last scan".

Just fyi, I use tts to read this content back to cellphone
users. If you return "The page hasnt changed..."
maybe I should then use a different url to get the
unchanged content??
