How were you directing traffic to Incapsula and how did you turn it
off? Did you change DNS records or did you change the path that your
app references? If you changed DNS records to point it back to your
server instead of Incapsula then it takes a while for that change to
propagate through the Internet (depending on what your TTL was). It's

Please somebody help, I feel so helpless. I am not able to understand "who"
is setting this 24 hours expiry thing since all my code in htaccess is
correct.
UPDATE: It has magically got corrected automatically. I haven't touched
htaccess.

Seems like you caught the point. This started after I switched to
Incapsula. I'll better talk to Incapsula.
This is all that I have in .htaccess:

Also make sure that the expiration isn't being overridden by your CDN.
Looks like the response headers were showing the image as being served
by Incapsula.

Page Speed recommends that you cache content for at least one week. All
your cache times are for 24 hours. For instance, for back.png, I see the
following:

Cache-Control:max-age=86400
Connection:keep-alive
Content-Encoding:gzip
Content-Type:image/png
Date:Tue, 21 May 2013 14:19:18 GMT
Expires:Wed, 22 May 2013 14:19:18 GMT
