1968 Sharon Louise Vining  (62)

Sharon Louise (Vining) Pashin

Monterey County Herald, CA Feb 5, 2013

Sharon Louise Vining May 7, 1950 ~ Jan. 29, 2013 MONTEREY - Sharon was the third child of nine children born to Ron and Selma Vining of Pacific Grove. She graduated from Pacific Grove High School in 1968. She is the beloved mother of Clayton and Leon Vining, and the happy grandmother of Finn Vining. God made Sharon with a special love for babies. One of her favorite jobs was when she worked in the nursery of a daycare, changing diapers and feeding babies. She also had volunteered in her local hospital, holding tiny little babies needing special care. It is no wonder that being a mother and grandmother were her greatest joys. She also leaves behind two beloved daughters-in-law, Famke and Clara. Her dear family cared lovingly for her through her two-year battle with cancer, as well as her dear friend, Stacey and many other friends and family. Sharon's love of life, adventurous spirit, and sense of humor touched many lives. She was a vital part of this big, wonderful Vining family. She gave much of herself to all our gatherings, cooking, baking, and being interested in everyone's lives. She had a way of being honest and truthful without being judgmental. Anyone could talk to Sharon about anything and feel heard and accepted. Her love and support will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard, and her sister, Dorothy. She leaves her brothers, David, Robert and Walter; and her sisters, Christine, Bonnie and Heidi. She also leaves dozens of nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends who have felt her love, benefitted from her generosity, and experienced her support in so many ways. God has given us much in Sharon; much will be missed. He keeps her safe until we meet again. Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I Êwould have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also." Ê John 14:1-3 A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 800 Cass St. in Monterey at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Bridge, a recovery ministry, at P.O. Box 113, Pacific Grove, CA 93950 or to Gospel For Asia, 1800 Golden Trail Ct., Carrollton, TX 75010.
