PERS is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to bring together persons actively engaged in estuarine and coastal research and management on the Pacific Coast of North America to exchange ideas and knowledge for educational purposes

PERS welcomes one and all who are interested in the biological, physical, chemical, geological, or economic structure and function of coastal and estuarine ecosystems, and the management of coastal and estuarine resources to join our society.  PERS is particularly interested in fostering student research and offers incentives to encourage student membership and participation in our annual meetings.
