Hey,
I would like to build a site for a client that relies heavily on audio
content. However, several specs sort of cry out for plone3 and we have
decided to definitely go that way...
Tried to get p4a.ploneaudio working out of the box in a plone 3
buildout environment but to no avail so far. I would like to avoid
including the whole lot of p4a and restrict the site to basic audio
support.
What are the minimum eggs that I should include? I'm willing to do
quite a bit of bug fixing to get this to a workng state, but would
appreciate a helping hand to get things started.
Is there a sample buildout, JUST for audio?
Thanks a lot for a great product,

No, there is no sample buildout JUST for audio, but if you look at the p4a buildout as an example, the eggs that you need for p4a.audio are as follows:

    p4a.audio
    p4a.ploneaudio
    p4a.fileimage
    p4a.common
    p4a.z2utils
    five.intid

hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply,
This is more or less the buildout I tried out. The first showstopper
in
p4a.audio/p4a/audio/browser/configure.zcml
and in particular the menu items for 'object_buttons'. Now, I don't
have a great understanding of this, but I THINK that these require
CMFOnFive, but that shouldn't be true for plone 3?
Anyway the error I get is:
ConfigurationError: ('Invalid value for', 'menu', "ImportError:
Couldn't import object_buttons, No module named object_buttons")

Tu pursue a bit further, I changed object_buttons to object but then
p4a.audio tried to import IDynamicallyViewable from
Products.CMFDynamicViewFTI.interfaces

I realize that it might be too early for plone3, but is there a way I
can proceed further? Should I submit these as bugs, or am I missing
something else?
Thanks again,
gg

ahh.. yes, the other thing that you need is the egg:

p4a.subtyper

when we moved to plone3, it became necessary to refactor all the p4a
products to use p4a.subtyper, so this is now a requirement on plone3.

For a start happy holidays to everyone!
Things for me work at the moment, however for future googlers of this
it is important to note that I also had to install a modified
Plone4ArtistsSite product to install p4a.ploneaudio.
There are a few bugs I've found, and the question is do you want me to
submit/solve them on the issue tracker or wait for you to make an
official release for p3?
Thanks for the help,
gg

We are working on Plone4ArtistsSite/Plone4ArtistsAudio 1.1 which will
have Plone 3 compatibility.
