I read about P2PU on Mozilla's Drumbeat site a month ago, and I would be
interested in teaching an online mapping course. In the spirit of the
free and open web, the tech would be OpenStreetMap and OpenLayers.

It's a very real-world way to use JavaScript and web services. Once they
know the basics, people can make useful maps including tools for the
environment, disaster response, or FourSquare-type apps.

I drew up a draft page at http://p2pu.org/webcraft/online-maps-openlayers
- please let me know what you think about the topic and where to expand
and explain.

Thansk Nick!

This is a great idea - I'm really looking forward to seeing this course in action.

I'll be in contact with more feedback soon!

Best,

I would definitely have an interest. I'm an iPhone App Developer and
I intend to specialize in geo-location centric apps, so I would have a
great interest in this.
