The job description for our first Learning systems internship has now been
officially published on our job postings, with *a deadline of 19 August* for

This internship is an amazing opportunity for a young professional or
graduate student to apply their instructional design skills and knowledge
to the real-world challenges of IFRC's disaster risk reduction department.
It will involve practical support on the design of a course in
vulnerability and capacity assessment (VCA), working with the lead subject
matter expert, together with needs assessment and training with/for the
rest of the department.

*Education:*
Master of Science in Learning and Teaching Technologies, instructional
design or equivalent
Certificate or higher in Development studies or other humanitarian area of
work would be preferred
*Experience:*
Instructional design (online learning)
Successful delivery of online learning modules using the OPALE and Scenari
platform
Other teaching background or experience would be preferred
Vulnerability and capacity assessment (VCA) or other field work in a
humanitarian or development organization and/or with National Societies
would be preferred
*Knowledge and Skills:*
Communicate effectively in visual, oral and written form
Conduct a needs assessment to recommend appropriate training solutions and
strategies
Evaluate and assess instruction and its impact.
Design instruction that reflects an understanding of the diversity of
learners and groups of learners in National Societies
Apply current research and theory to the practice of instructional design
would be preferred
Expert knowledge and practice of OPALE and Scenari platform would be
preferred
