I just had this idea (probably heard it somewhere else, even in this list?) but wanted to put it out there see what you guys think or if it has been discussed before.
I found a really good set of videos today for a particular topic (mercurial source control) and although I do not have time to create a challenge right now, it would be cool to have some kind of "incubating" area to store and share this kind of information. I know I can just put it in my research notebook or something like that, but I know I will forget about it for ages. The benefit of sharing it would be that someone else might have the time to start writing tasks, some assessment, start thinking about badges, and stuff like that. So it would be a collaborative process and a way to share materials that others have collected re the same topic.
I could start a challenge (and leave it unpublished till I get some time) but discovery for collaborators would be a bit difficult... what you guys think of an "incubator" for challenges? and to what extent it could be incorporated in Lernanta? I realise that, to a certain extent, the fact that you can add organisers to a group is already supporting the idea, but you add organisers to something that is already running; this would be collaboration at earlier stages (from inception). What you guys think?
