Hi guys,

I'm really sorry that I haven't called any OxRUG meetings recently.

I've been really busy and unable to get around to it. I am also moving
to London within a few weeks so won't be able to look after it in the
future.

If someone is up for becoming the new "maintainer" that would be great -
perhaps a meeting can be organised before I leave, in which case I'll
certainly make an effort to attend and bid farewell :) I can transfer
the oxrug.org domain to this person.

Cheers,
Jon

I'd be happy to organise the group for a while.

How about 7.30 on Tuesday 21st February at the Victoria (as usual)? Let me know if you can make it!

Hopefully see you there,
Tom

Thanks for that Tom.

Just one thing.... LRUG is on that exact evening. Thought I'd mention it.

Cheers,

Ok. Thanks jocke. We'll stick to the 21st for this month and I'll try to make sure we don't have similar clashes in the future.

See you next Tuesday,
Tom

No worries. :)

Cool!

I'll probably opt for LRUG this time though. See you next time!

I'm pleased to see someone taking over, though probably can't make
this Tuesday (and certainly not April if that's the 3rd Tuesday).

Meanwhile, here's a poem on the subject of London by Simon Munnery
(who was on at the North Wall on Saturday, though this video isn't
from then)

Hello

Mind if I join you on Tuesday? I'm a book publisher attempting to be a rails developer, so let me know if there's some sort of secret gang-member competence test which I'd surely fail. Otherwise it'll be nice to say hi.

Well, obviously you need to be able to cite either "The Ruby Way" or "Programming Ruby" backwards and forwards, and then you need to buy copious amounts of beers to everybody...

No... Seriously, the Ruby bunch is a nice and relaxed bunch. Just show up. :)

Buying beers bit - no problem! Thanks for the warm welcome,
