I am officially a snow biker!

 

More pics to follow, but for the benefit of many of my cycling buddies, here's a sample of my FIRST RIDE in the snow on Michelle's bike (which I had tuned up to ride). The snow I was riding on felt amazing like damp sand. No slush this afternoon.  There were a few times when the snow got thick that I remembered what Dave Crain had told me about mountain biking, "Momentum is your friend!"

And, yes. That really IS almost one foot of snow on the roofs and two feet on the ground ... and it's been MELTING!

I'll be riding every morning from here on ... hope to have over 100 miles in the snow before I leave for home on January 6th. Life is a dashing, bold adventure, huh?!?
