I would be glad to help you with pictures of events where I have been a rider ... there are a lot of them.  I am a hopeless case of advocating and encouraging folks to ride all over the southeast with me. 

 

I would recommend that you contact Larry Pierson (road bike coordinator for the Druid City Bike Club in Tuscaloosa) and Barbara Gower (president of the Birmingham Bike Club).  Both clubs have an ACTIVE calendar, so if any of the rides you propose conflict with theirs, that could be a problem with recruiting riders from Alabama.

 

I know that the Oxford Bike Club has their Double Decker Ride on the last Saturday of April.  The DCBC has their Hot 100 in August, and the BBC has their Mt. Goat Century around Halloween.  Also be aware of other popular southern rides like 3 Mountains-3 States, the Cheaha Challenge, the Ride of Love, the Assault on Mt. Mitchell, the Cherohala Challenge, and Six Gap.

We are doing a ride next year www.BayouChallenge.org and are looking for cycling photos to entice others to get invoved in cycling and to give them an idea of what to expect from the event. Any pics you have would be greatly appreciated. Hanging out at cycling events, road, commuting, anything with panniers or a loaded bike. I am trying to get an assortment but will probably only use a few. Also, I will include a caption of you or your organization underneath each pic.
