Hi Beto,

unfortunately none of our core devs use linux - so it's hard to debug these issues. Hopefully another linux user on this list can step in to help.

However, it is still possible for you to get started with Overtone without having to use the internal server. First, install supercollider directly via apt-get. Then, instead of using overtone.live, use overtone.core instead and manually (boot-external-server).
