A visually stunning trans-Africa website.  The couple used a stock standard Jeep Wrangler.

I will update the Overland Live blog with additional details on the vehicle once I hear back from the travelers: http://goo.gl/cIJQON

For those interested in the details, I received an email response Nerijus Strumila:

We took Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2.8 CRD automatic transmission.
I just put on BF Goodrich tires - thats it, no more modification had been made.
Unlimited (means 4 doors) and you can make 200 cm bed in back of Jeep, so, no tents have been used.

I took additional 40l Diesel, and 27l water. But we did not used it, there was plenty of diesel to buy all over route (even in Mauritania, or Nigeria Boko Haram area).

We made 24000 km across Africa and did not have any problems, no punctures, no technical problems or border crossings. All people very kind and happy to see overlanders, no bribes (even in Nigeria or Congo DRC) no asking for gifts. We very surprised that it  feel very safe. Even more safe than in Lithuania.

Everybody was so exited about our car, they never saw Jeep’s… only some Japanese or UK cars…
I'm still working on pictures, everyday put some of them. As you may know, picture can say 1000 words, thats why I decide to make Photoblog instead of wordpress or something :).

A mate driving a Jeep Wrangler towing a Bushtrotter caravan joined us on our recent trip. They are very nice vehicles and seem to be very well made. Only negative was he has the v6 petrol which is very heavy on fuel.

Jeep (Chrysler) is now owned by Fiat, it will do them the same good that Tata brought to LR.

Got the 2007 Sahara unlimited 2.8 CRD auto - Been to Namibia (down Van Zyl's), Messum crater (towing a RAV :-) ), Botswana, Orange ECO route, Eastern Cape and wild coast, Northern Natal, etc.  Apart from losing 4 Wrangler tyres (made in Canada) which I now have replaced with Good Year Wrangler Muds, never left me standing and is as strong as a beast.  Standard except for an ARB replacement bumper in front and a JKA steel bumper with tyre carrier at the back.
Removable drawer system and an Oasis RTT.
We use it as an alternate to the Landy and it is also my daily runner.  10L per 100 km on the open road and 12 in town.
Very happy with it and will not easily sell it :-)
Regards
Zak
