OK, so after a long WHILE of searching the web and your wiki, I found
that it's necessary to call $con->createProxies(); after you
initialize it.

It might have been my bad for using the code snippets on your home
page instead of reading the wikie / quick start guide first, but it
sure would have saved me a good 30 - 60 minutes if you have this on
your home page snippet.

Just a suggestion.

I think the current version (the development branch) doesn't require
that. But it is a good idea to update the code snippets in the
homepage with the most recent release. That will avoid problems with
new users!

I agree that we should add the code to the home page, that would help a lot new users :-)

I'm almost sure that the SVN trunk version requires that, I'm currently working on a way to avoid it and also add support for proxy caching on 2.0 branch at Github, these are the tests and related code:
  - http://github.com/fgrehm/outlet-orm/blob/master/classes/outlet/ProxyAutoloader.php

I was planning to have the features disabled by default and it wouldn't be hard to add it to trunk version, what do you guys think?
