pls halp. inferno is hard, but farming hell is fun.
the "survive more than 2 hits from zombies" build. i think this was
featured somewhere, works pretty well i think.
frenzy - sidearm
wrath of the berserker - insanity
furious charge - dreadnought
revenge - provocation
ground stop - wrenching smash
ignore pain - iron hide
passives - tough as nails, nerves of steel, superstition
basically on demand bursty dmg for champs, rares, etc. not the best
dmg by any means but can at least survive the good ol' shielding,
arcane, fire chains or the good ol' shielding, descreation, arcane
champ combos.
im sitting around 40k hp, 65% dmg reduc from armor, 30-40% resists
(+an additional 20% from superstition?). all lvl 55-60 gear. no
inferno gear so far :(
My build for inferno is: frenzy - maniac seismic slam - strength from earth revenge - provocation furious charge - merciless assault war cry - impunity battle rage - into the fray
Passives: ruthless tough as nails superstition
I've tried out the build you listed because I've seen it posted all over the internet a few dozen times, but in all honestly I think this one offers similar survivability and a lot more damage. I'm talking 75k crits sometimes, and that's with a shield on. I'm around 20k dps, 38k hp, 73% armor and about 50% resists. The best part about it is seismic slam... I think people overlook that skill but they shouldn't. It's an awesome range which knocks the mobs away from you and hits through waves of mobs so even if they have invulnerable minions it'll still hit the main guy, and it hits hard. Plus, with the rune on battle rage, you can spam it all day and you won't go out of fury. It only costs 15 to cast and most of the time you'll get the fury back from crit procs. It's way more safe than standing there and taking the beating like you have to with the popular builds.

Here is the tank build and philosophy that I run with Joanna. This is NOT a solo build, but a group build. She can tank up to Act II| Inferno up until siegebreaker, then the mobs hit way too hard.
Gear wise, gotta aim for Resist all, and vitality. Resist all > Vitality > Armor > Strength > Physical Resistance = Intellect > Agility is the stat priority we use. +10 resist all = +100 Armor = +100 int or str for defensive value (apprx, ymmv)
Currently, the key to surviving inferno as a barb is a fast weapon with life on hit. This is because life steal is nerfed by 80% on inferno. Jo uses a fast dagger with life on hit, and whatever gear slots that have life on hit also. Attack speed is important to hit faster and get more life back. DPS is not important as a tank if you have a high dpser with you.
This is her build, similar to the kripp build Frenzy - Smite Furious Charge - Dreadnought Threatening Shout - Demoralize Revenge - Provocation Ground Stomp - Wrenching Smash War Cry - Impunity

Awesome, I'm glad to know that life steal is nerfed in inferno and I'm not just crazy. I noticed it wasnt doing jack and was completely confused for a long time. Thanks for clearing that up.
