| I was there the other day. didn't have enough time to check out the veg*n section because it was absolutely insane in there!!...BUT, I did notice LOTS of dungeness crabs stuck in tiny tanks with no room to move, along with fish (some dead already, just floating around!). I can only imagine how the ones in the back are being treated!! --- On Tue, 11/3/09, vaalea <v...@vaalea.com> wrote: |
| I went to T&T last week. Vaalea asked me to post my observations. I was there only for a limited time, and plan to go back to examine things a bit more thoroughly. There were many interesting and useful things there, although nothing really stood out. They have a variety of faux meats, but nearly all of those contain egg or dairy products. There's a faux duck and one other that is vegan. There are several types of Tofutti ice cream products, a few of which I've never seen in other stores. There are tonnes of different sauces, rice noodles etc., a good selection of which are vegan. Lots of interesting tofus and tofu products, although many are available in Chinatown as well. I didn't have time to check out the produce and I steered clear of the back corner where all the fish tanks are since I find them upsetting. Also if you plan to use a cart make sure you have a loonie. You have to put one in to get the cart. You get it back when you return the cart. --- On Thu, 11/5/09, Courtney Lang <courtn...@rogers.com> wrote: |
