  While I&#39;m at it, I should also share that I wrote to Kahlua recently &lt;br&gt; b/c I bought a little six-pack with their Regular/French &lt;br&gt; Vanilla/Hazelnut-flavoured coffee liquors and they list &#39;caramel&#39; &lt;br&gt; as an ingredient. The response I got back was that it is &#39;caramel &lt;br&gt; colour&#39;, which is derived from corn.

  I was at Hartman&#39;s (on Bank St.) earlier and President&#39;s Choice has a new chocolate treat out &lt;br&gt; for Xmas that seems pretty vegan-friendly to me (unless you don&#39;t consume sugar?) They&#39;re like After 8s but with no &lt;br&gt; milk/butter oil and the chocolate actually tastes better (well, I think &lt;br&gt; so anyway.)   Ottawa Magazine just published its annual Best Restaurants in Ottawa &lt;br&gt; edition. Zen Kitchen didn&#39;t make the top ten but it was in the &lt;br&gt; &amp;quot;restaurants to watch&amp;quot; section which is usually newer restaurants. &lt;br&gt; These often end up in the top ten in following years. &lt;br&gt; Nice to see a vegetarian/vegan resto in there.
