Number of exhibitors: 50 that offer products and services that fit under the following categories:
1. Energy & Green Technology
Renewable energy, consumption reduction, carbon footprint calculation, carbon offset options, home solar panels, alternate heating sources, home energy audits
2. Air, Food & Water
Potable water, containers, filters, water suppliers, 100 mile Food Source, healthy food choices and services, organic food, organic gardening, low water consumption devices such as toilets, shower heads, dish & clothing washers
3. Building Design & Plantscaping
Innovative residential solutions, hi-efficiency windows and doors, air quality, innovative use of plant material (i.e. roofing, walls), organic lawn maintenance, weed & pest control
4. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, reuse, recycle options such as clothing, composting, coloured box programs and waste management.
5. Green Transportation
Alternative transportation, cycling, public transport, electric vehicles, hybrids, alternate fuels (i.e. bio-diesel) and How To render your car more efficient.
6. Family & Home
Green cleaning products and natural alternatives, reducing chemical exposure, natural fiber clothing, alternative choices for children’s products and services, green alternatives for real estate
7. Education, Eco-tourism, Recreation
Programs, courses, films, books, educational or healthy recreation opportunities,
eco-retreats, eco-travel options
8. Green Environmental Resources (10)
NGOs, governments and various networks and associations that offer resources in the area of sustainability
We are inviting exhibitors whose products and services fit our theme the best (see Categories). Your business or
organization matches our goals for the event so we invite you to join us as soon as possible. Space is limited in each
category. Please respond quickly to ensure your business or organization’s inclusion as an exhibitor.
When: Tuesday October 6th, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM
Where: Algonquin College – Woodroffe Campus, T Building Room T102
The Organizers: The Business Innovation Center at Algonquin College in partnership with the Small Business
Association of Canada presents the first of a series of Showcases. As part of this initiative, SBA
Canada is offering a $500 Bursary to the Green Business Management program.
The Event: The “Green Home and Lifestyle Showcase” is a holistic approach to empowering everyday
People to choose Green in many aspects of their life: in the home, for energy consumption, for
food and water, for green offset options and even green fashion! Our goal is to bring together
sustainability conscious People and Organizations to support the Ottawa community in living a
Green Life. This is a great learning opportunity and a networking event to meet like‐minded
people for social entrepreneurs, students, academics, NGO’s and the business community.
How: Venue is T Building Room T102 and will showcase a broad spectrum of green organizations
complemented by two sustainability presentations from well‐established green speakers.

Set‐up: Exhibitor set up will be between 3:00 and 4:00 PM in Room T102. One 5 foot table and 2 chairs
will be provided. Bring your great displays!
Materials: Several hundred people are anticipated including students of Algonquin College. This is a great
opportunity to hand out information about job opportunities, volunteering and also to promote
your products and services. Note that the Algonquin College policy does not allow the selling of
goods on Campus.
Cost: $40 per exhibitor and FREE for the public
