The Ottawa Animal Defense League has recently become aware that the upcoming Sizzle With Style Gala to support the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation will include fur in their fashion show. The event, which is taking place on November 7th at the Marriott Hotel, includes dinner, a silent auction, and a fashion show. Pat Flesher Furs is once again a part of this event and will be a part of the fashion show. They usually donate fur items for the silent auction as well. It is inconsistent that an event based on compassion would in turn support the horrific cruelty inflicted upon animals to create unnecessary fur products. This gala would be a success, possibly more so, if Pat Fleshers Furs was not a part of it.
We need your help.
Please take a minute to email or call the organisers of this event. Ask them to hold an ethical and compassionate fundraiser and to do so without models parading around wearing the corpses of innocent animals.

Last year we were able to persuade a local hotel to cancel a fur sale because of your phone calls and emails. Please take a few minutes to speak for the animals killed for the pocketbooks of Pat Flesher.

We were so very disappointed to hear that your wonderful event to help cancer survivors is going to abuse animals.
Most Canadians disagree with fur. They disagree with crushing animals' legs or abdomens in traps. They disagree with driving animals crazy in horrific fur farm cages. They disagree with anally and vaginally electrocuting foxes and minks and chinchillas so that someone can pretentiously parade around his or her wealth. They disagree with ripping the skins off so many beautiful, defenseless animals who have families and personalities and the ability to feel the unbearable pain and nightmare of the fur industry. So we ask you to do what has been done by other fashion shows and hotels featuring furriers in Ottawa: kick out these animal abusers, kick out the animal abusers from Pat Flesher Furs. We ask you to ensure consistency in this event, so that Sizzle with Style is not helping one set of beings while torturing another.
