Do you think Ottawa could pull enough people together to do a Walk For Farm Animals? Recommended time is end of September or beginning October.
The walk could go round Dows Lake and end at The Green Earth on Preston. It could be fun, teambuilding and another way of being seen.

Farmed animals are 100% worth every step. Couldn’t have put it better myself.
We now have 7 people interested. Farm Sanctuary recommends a minimum of 15 people to be a good number for a walk. So were ½ way there, yes, only 7 more to go and we can start the planning!
We can do this, Ottawa rocks,
Anne

We are now up to 12 interested people!
The $15 registration fee entitles us to a farm sanctuary t-shirt and helps us look like a coordinated group.
Saturday afternoon, September 26th August is looking good. How does that sound to others?
We can accomplish this! Only 3 more people to go and I’ll contact Farm Sanctuary and check with the City of Ottawa to let them know we are planning on doing a walk.
For the animals,

Hi Michele,
Delighted you’re going to join us. We now have 14 potential walkers, yes, think that’s enough to get the ball rolling! I now believe once others hear what we’re doing they’ll join us.
Good to read you already have the info re permits, that’s great. Looking forward to finding out more on that.
Yes please, any support and help you're willing to give regarding organising and running the walk is greatly appreciated. I’m totally in un-navigated territory.
At some point soon I plan on walking the route.
Thought I’d also take a visit to The Green Earth and see if they’ll support us. If we start and end there maybe we can use one of their tables for the registration.
Ottawa veggies ROCK!
