Subject: Monday, June 8: World Ocean's Day Event For the Seals

Hi everyone.

I received information about an event tomorrow to protest the commercial seal hunt. Gail Shea, the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans will be part of an event called World Ocean Day. There will be lots of media which makes it a perfect opportunity to speak for the seals. The information and contact # for the person in charge is below.

There are two events at Parliament Hill and Downtown tomorrow, June 8, for World Oceans Day. Gail Shea and the WWF will hosting these events, so it would be a perfect opportunity to speak up for the seal slaughter. A few of us will be out there with signs and leafletting, and we would love it if anyone would like to join us! For the main event we will be meeting at the intersection of Queen St. and O'Connor St. at 3:30 until 4:30. The event at Parliament Hill has no specified time so if you can make it during the day before the 3:30 event please give Emily Lavender a call at (613) 894-6912 if you would like to come.
