Hi Pete,
I do try to encourage FB members to join BUG google groups for
communication purposes - if you truly want to be kept in the BUG loop
that is the easiest way for me to communicate with the majority of
members. The FB site was a late addition by previous administrators
and is used solely for members who subscribe to FB and want to share
personal posts, videos, etc. It is certainly a limited venue and it's
not our method of mass communication.
I'd suggest that you make a point of checking the Ottawa Folklore
Centre website which is what I do...they are making a concentrated
effort to provide Ottawa ukers with workshops and lessons but they are
not great at informing me of when they post new items. I only found
out about the workshop by checking the site today myself! Anybody is
welcome to post any ukulele workshops, lessons, etc. that they come
across on the BUG FB site, the Google site or our website.
I find it a challenge as far as time to post to BUG's Google groups,
Website, and lastly FB, since it's not always a simple copy and paste
and I'm really pressed for time in between organizing BUG jam
sessions.
I'm glad you're signing up for the workshop - Joe truly is a gem and
I'll think you'll enjoy it! Hope to see you at another BUG event soon!
Sue :)
