Field Application Engineer needed
Hotwire
* Provide sales engineering support, training and onsite
demonstrations to prospects and customers
* Provide excellent support to customer inquires via phone and email
(Post-Sales)
* Troubleshoot complex integration and coding problems by gathering
the right information from the customer
* Prioritize several issues of varying severity, and effectively
manage the resolution of all issues
* Collaborate with peers and other teams to resolve customer issues in
a timely manner
* Technologies to learn: SDKs, Appliance, Asterisk, VoIP, ISDN, CAS,
Analog interfaces, Windows and Linux development and debugging
environments, FAX, Call Progress, and more
* B.Sc./B. Eng. or Computer Engineering Technology or Equivalent
* EXCELLENT interpersonal and communication skills in English (Spoken,
Written)
* Programming languages: C/C++, .NET, Java, C#, VB
* Programming environments: Microsoft Visual Studio and Linux
* Demonstrate prioritization, troubleshooting, initiative, and self-
motivation skills
* 3+ years of experience in a Software Designer role
* Ability to travel internationally is essential
* Previous experience with CTI boards and APIs
* Knowledge of VoIP, Telecom, Data networks and protocols
* Application development experience
* Embedded programming experience
* Additional Languages: Portuguese, Spanish, French
* Computer PC Architecture and Networking
* Prior experience in a Customer Care, Technical Support, or Call
Center environment
