We are seeking a Timing, Clock Generation and synchronization Systems Architect, for our Ottawa based client
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead technical interface with customers, studying and understanding their equipment, in order to generate specs and propose/develop timing, clock generation and synchronization architectures, for communications products
- Understand the evolution of networks, protocols, end equipment architecture and evolving standards
- Represent the systems group in conferences as a speaker, as well as contribute to and influence industry wide standards bodies, committees, meetings.
- Develop white papers on architectures and total system solutions, and give technical guidance to product marketing managers in order to define product positioning and differentiation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or better in EE
- 10+ years of industry experience in either(or combination of both):
a) system design, board design or system architecture, with strong background in timing, clock generation and synchronization, as well as solid knowledge of networking architecture and equipment
b) chip architecture/ic design knowledge/experience developing circuits such as PLLs, DLLs, specifications generation
- Standards knowledge, coupled with a track record of attending and contributing to worldwide standards organizations such as IEEE, ITU, etc
- Previous experience interfacing with customers
- Creative trouble-shooter
- Motivated, results oriented and organized self-starter, who can flexibly manage multiple projects while supporting customers
- Excellent communication(presentation, written and verbal) skills.
- Strong interpersonal/ team building skills
- Ability to travel international, approximately 25%
DESIRABLE/ASSET:
- Previous experience working for a communications/networking equipment manufacturer
