Software Engineer

AMITA Corporation is currently looking for a Software Engineer for a long
term contract with one of our public sector clients beginning in the spring
of 2010. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

a.. Systems and software engineering design and development of Linux based
computer platforms, networked with TCP/IP.
b.. Programming and troubleshooting with C++, and C
c.. Programming and troubleshooting with Perl, Java, JSP, JSF, JAVA
scripts
d.. Kernel Development (Linux)
e.. Linux/Unix system configuration, administration, and architecture
f.. Telecommunication and or/network system design (WAN, LAN, VoIP
protocols and wireless protocols)
g.. Technical experience with PKI, SSL, TLS and/or SSH
h.. Database development using mySQL Relational Database Management System
(RDBMS)

Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, unit test, and deliver a high performance solutions
for storage area network environments

· Co-develop specifications and plans for all work, such as functional
specs, design documents, and unit test plans.

Qualifications:

· BSCS or equivalent with 6+ years of software development experience;
or advanced degree with relevant work experience

· Highly effective interpersonal, oral and written communication
skills.

· Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable to rapid change. Should be a
team player and self starter.

· Must be dedicated to delivering a product with clean architecture,
reusable components, and high quality.

Desired:

· MSCS or equivalent.

· Developing embedded code utilizing C or C++

· Experience in at least one of the following; FICON and FC protocols,
or IPv6, IPv6, IPSec protocols

· Development experience or exposure to Storage or Data Networking
technologies
