Debugging using Eclipse/Netbeans

I have successfully compiled OTB on Ubuntu 9.10 and I am able to run
all the examples/programs from console but I am wondering if there
is any way I can use Eclipse/Netbeans IDE for debugging OTB examples/
source code step by step?

Any hints on debugging OTB would be appreciated!

Tisham has suggested I use monteverdi for the detection of swimming
pools and I have a few questions?
what is monteverdi for orfeo?
does it come in the package?
if not, how can I install it under linux?
Is it some sort of application, or have I to compile it?

Monteverdi Build fails to initialize viewer

Hi guys,

I have Monteverdi built in Release With Debuginfo mode and running to
show GUI etc. etc. I loads images and shows in the band list. But
whenever I initialize the viewer it hangs up and stops responding. The
binary release works and the viewers in various OTB applications also
work . Where exactly is the hitch ? I am running in Debug mode from

Hi Guys,

I have OTB , the Apps and Monteverdi built. I am planning to build the
Python bindings and try out the Qgis plugin etc. Qgis folks have
always wanted some image processing capability - and I like the Qt GUI
to FLTK. So what do I need to get going ? Swig and CableSwig ? Some
build instructions and notes will be greatly appreciated.

I have installed OTB recently, and I am trying to use it but I have
got many problems.

I have chosen ubuntu Linux and Netbeans as IDE, but I don't know how
to compile a simple application.
Only the hello world compile and only from command line using 'cmake .
