Green Game Days: Football vs. Cincinnati

Event Waste Reduction: New Student Picnic
-Still need 1 at 4:30-5:30 and 2 at 5:30-6:30
-Tues, Sept 22, 4:30-5:30 pm and 5:30-6:30 pm (or whenever -you’re available)
-Memorial Union Quad, OSU
-Staff the waste stations at the event, helping students sort their recycling, compost, and trash. A picnic for an expected 3,000 new students which organizers are trying to make completely or nearly waste free! Free meal!

-Thurs, Sept 24, 12-1:30 pm CH2M Hill Alumni Center, OSU
-Help is needed to staff the waste stations at the event, helping sort recycling, compost, and trash. University Day is an annual year opening celebration that serves as a time for the campus to honor the achievements of our best, brightest and most giving faculty and staff. Free meal!

-Help is needed to staff the Campus Recycling info table - educating people, mostly staff, about how to recycle on campus and recruiting more volunteers. University Day is an annual year opening celebration that serves as a time for the campus to honor the achievements of our best, brightest and most giving faculty and staff.

Tabling: Where It's At Beaver Community Fair
-Fri, Oct 2, 12-4 pm
-Memorial Union Quad, OSU
-Help is needed to staff the Campus Recycling info table, educating people, mostly students, about how to recycle on campus and recruiting more volunteers. This is an annual fair held during the first week of classes at OSU, which draws 2,000+ people.

More Event Stats
Stats from the OSU Finance and Administration Picnic:
-Total Compost = 82 Gal
-Total Recycling = 60 Gal
-Total Trash = 23 Gal
We met our challenge of keeping trash to less than one can’s worth and we diverted 142 gallons (86% of material collected) from the landfill! Check out the photo of this event on our Google group page!
