python-osmgpsmap-0.7.1.win32-py2.6.exe for Win7 64 Bit and Python 2.65 32 Bit

Hi all,

I tried to run the installer "python-osmgpsmap-0.7.1.win32-py2.6.exe"
having the following environment:
Win 7, 64 Bit, German
Python 2.65 32 Bit (as usual for a 32 bit app in WIn 7) in: C:\Program
Files (x86)\Python26

The installer tells to find Python at the right place and than to do
his job. But finally nothing happens no site-package will be
installed. But also no error message available.
My programming skill is to low to build my own package for my
environment.

So my question: Is it possible to improve the installer to run well on
Win 7 64 bit for 32 bit Python?

PS: By the way, I also did install the "GMapCatcher". The application
runs mostly well. It seems to me there are some issues to handle
Windows special path short cuts - e.g USER was not replaced by the
real world path. May be the installer has the same problem.
